The Vineyard at Dodon’s Children Policy

The length of the tours and tastings and most other events at Dodon makes it difficult for children to enjoy themselves; the emphasis is on wine and wine education, and we do not serve refreshments or have activities for those under 21 years. Wine club members are welcome to bring closely supervised children to the following outdoor events, so long as they follow Dodon’s policy, outlined below:

  • Dodon ‘til Dusk *outdoors only

  • Allocation Pickup *outdoors only

  • Saturday Club Hours *outdoors only

policy details

  • Children should always be accompanied by an adult, especially to the north and west of the road (the winery side), including trips to the bathroom and when visiting the lambs.

  • There should be no sports equipment, running, yelling, or other disruptive activity in and around the pavilion and picnic table area. Balls and bats, kites, and other sports equipment may be used in the “bowl” to the west of the pavilion.

  • Please do not allow your children to walk on the flower beds or lavender.

  • As a working farm and winery, we have equipment and materials that can quickly result in serious injury. For their safety, neither children nor adults should enter the vineyards, cellar, or farm buildings unless accompanied by a member of the Dodon staff. Most importantly, children should remain with parents both for their safety and so that other guests can enjoy their time with us.

Thank you very much for your cooperation. We hope that these guidelines will ensure that all guests have a safe and enjoyable visit.
